Cowley Street is an extensive renovation of an end-of-terrace house situated just behind Westminster Abbey and the notorious "Big Ben" in London, UK. This property is steeped in history, including being leveled by a V2 rocket in WWII. The project includes the expansion of the existing basement, strategic placement of "Glass Boxes" for light and ventilation, and the opening up of the internal layouts. The design embraces a contemporary approach for the entrance level and basement, but retains some of the period elements on the upper floors.
